I’ve hiked in North Point State Park near Baltimore, Maryland many times. By far October is the best time to go, however there really isn’t a bad time. You start the hike from a small parking lot near the entrance and eventually you come to an abandoned structure that used to be the power house for the trolley that ran through the park. Shortly after that you come to this overlook. For bird watchers it’s a perfect spot. After this beautiful field you come to the open expanse of the Chesapeake Bay where a sign proclaims that it’s possible to see eagles. I’ve never seen them but I’ve always been ever hopeful.
