Poetry of the Earth

the poetry of the earth, originally uploaded by Jhawk.

This one is from the archives. I took this shot with my Canon Elph S410 a few years ago on a hiking trip to Harper’s Ferry, WV. There this tree sat, all alone in a field of wavy, green grass with a big blue sky behind it. It practically shouted “Take a picture of me!”

In this rendition I’ve used two different textures and converted everything to sepia. I think the textures worked out pretty well.

Textures by jaiel and cosi.

  1. Great photo–great work on it! I should play with textures more. I’ve only tried using them twice and never happy with the results.

  2. I love the light in this. Beautiful.

  3. you are soooo right, this is wonderful, so oldfashioned and the sepia is beautiful

  4. Thank you for stopping by, guys. I really appreciate your encouragement. 🙂
