This image is most definitely best viewed in LARGE on black.
I used the Orton Effect on this first and merged the layers using the “Multiply” blending option. I then added a duplicate layer and adjusted the contrast and exposure to make it darker, and blended that layer using the “soft light” blending option. Lastly I used the clone tool to remove some specs of light in the foreground of the image.
A hospital hallway taken with the Canon Rebel XSi and touched up a bit in Adobe Raw.
I used the Canon Rebel and three exposures here, and Photomatix to create the HDR image. This is in Von Ormy, Texas (not far from Lackland AFB in San Antonio) and the house is on a small hill so there are few obstructions of the horizon. Sunrises and sunsets are beautiful here.

This shot was taken way too early in the morning. It was Thanksgiving Day and I was in a small town near San Antonio. Heading to the grocery store to beat the last minute crowds, I hopped out of the car long enough to snap a few shots of this. I think it turned out fairly well but not as beautiful as it actually looked. I guess that’s when you know you’re good… when you can capture a moment in time perfectly. I’m not there quite yet.
A hotel balcony overlooking San Antonio’s riverwalk. This was taken with the Canon Elph S410 and is only one exposure. I manipulated it a bit with FDR Tools and like the way it turned out. I was thinking it would have been perfect if there had been a cross or something on the back wall there.
